パレスチナ人アラブ人を団結させて独立したパレスチナ国家を創設しようとする政治運動。1964年に結成された当初はヤーセル・アラファトのアル＝ファタハが主導するテロ組織だった。1968年にアラファトが議長に就任し、1974年には国連およびアラブ諸国から亡命政府として認められた。パレスチナ自治政府の創設以降、主に政治的な役割を果たしている。
