untilの語源
「until」は「～まで」を意味し、中英語で「til」に「un-」（～まで、～に至る）を加えた形に由来します。「un-」は古ノルド語「und」（～まで）から派生し、ゲルマン祖語「*und-」、さらに印欧祖語「*ant-」（前方、額）に遡ります。
