perceivedの語源と覚え方
覚え方
ラテン語 percipiō（完全につかむ・知覚する）= per-（徹底的に）+ capiō（取る・捕らえる）。「すっかり手に取る」が原義で、感覚や心でとらえること、つまり「知覚する・気づく」になり、その過去分詞形が perceived。
現在は「事実かどうかは別として、そう受け取られている」という含みで使われることが多く、perceived value（体感価値）・perceived risk のように実際との差を言う場面で目立つ。*kap-（つかむ）は capture・receive・accept・concept と同族。
