覚え方
perfect（完全で欠点がない）+ -ly（形容詞から副詞を作る語尾）。「完璧に」が基本だが、実際には perfectly clear（まったく明らかだ）・perfectly fine（何の問題もない）のように、程度を強める語として使うことが多い。
-ly は *leyg-（似た・平らな）の系統の語尾で、quickly・clearly と同じ働きをする。名詞に付く -ly（friendly・daily）は形容詞を作る側で、同じつづりでも役割が違う。
