食品の保存に欠かせない食品用ラップ、英語では cling film、cling wrap と呼ばれます。
食品や容器にピタッとくっつくという、ラップの特性をよく表していますよね。
この他にも plastic wrap という呼び方があったり、アメリカならば Saran wrap という商標名による呼び方もあります。
ちなみに、Saran wrap の Saran とは、開発者の妻 Sarah と娘 Ann の名前を組み合わせてできた言葉です。
