覚え方
complete（終える・仕上げる）+ -ly（副詞を作る）。complete の奥は **kom-（共に・すっかり）+ pleh₁-（満たす） で、「器をすっかり満たす→欠けがない」。
そこから「完全に・すっかり」。I completely forgot（すっかり忘れていた）、completely different（まったくの別物）のように、動詞や形容詞を強める副詞としてよく使う。
*pleh₁- は full（満ちた）・plenty（たっぷり）・supplement（補って満たす）にも通じる。「満たしきる」→「完全に」とつなぐ。
