insurgent（反乱を起こす・反抗する）+ -cy（状態・性質を表す名詞を作る）。芯は **en-（中へ）+ h₃reǵ-（まっすぐにする／正す） で、「身を起こしてまっすぐ立ち上がる」動きが出発点である。
