ただし、英語の発音は「プロフィール」ではなく「プロファイル /próʊfɑɪl/」です。
profileは、イタリア語→フランス語→英語の流れでできた単語ですが、外来語としての「プロフィール」は、英語ではなく、フランス語のprofilに由来しています。
