覚え方
clus はラテン語 claudō「閉じる・閉ざす」。con（すっかり）と合わさった conclūdō は「囲いを閉じて中に収め、締めくくる」で、それを名詞にしたのが conclusion。
周りを閉じると外の可能性が断たれ、物事が終わる。そこから「終結・結末」、議論を閉じて最後に出す「結論」になった。in conclusion（結論として）、draw a conclusion（結論を導く）。
exclude（外へ閉め出す）・include（中に閉じ込める）と同じ clus/clud。clud を「閉じる」と読めば、結論が議論の終点だと納得できる。
