覚え方
directory は、名前や情報を一定の順序に並べた「名簿」や、コンピューター上でファイルを整理する「ディレクトリ」を表す。情報を直接たどれるように整理した一覧、という感覚で覚えると、名簿とフォルダの両方の意味がつながる。
